On 16–17 April 2026, the ZHENIT Project successfully convened its Final General Assembly and Final Event in Augusta, Sicily, Italy.
The Final Event, held on 17 April, brought together project partners and key stakeholders to present the main achievements of the project and to discuss future perspectives for sustainable innovation in the maritime sector. The event provided an important opportunity to reflect on the results obtained throughout the project and to explore their potential impact on the transition towards cleaner shipping solutions.
A key highlight of the programme was the visit to the vessel TESEO, which allowed participants to observe firsthand the technological developments achieved within the project in a real operational environment. This practical demonstration offered valuable insight into the applicability and readiness of the solutions developed under ZHENIT.
The event also featured contributions from several sister projects, including RESHIP, LH2CRAFT, FLEETfor55, SAFeCRAFT, ENGIMMONIA Project, and MARPOWER Project. Their participation fostered valuable exchanges and reinforced collaboration across the broader maritime innovation ecosystem, contributing to a productive and forward-looking discussion.
The consortium extends its appreciation to all partners and participants for their commitment and contributions, which were essential to the success of the ZHENIT Project and to advancing the shared objective of more sustainable and environmentally friendly maritime transport.
